May 2021 Bright Beginnings Bulletin

It’s hard to believe our school year is coming to an end.  The children have learned a great deal.  The teachers of Bright Beginnings feel very honored and blessed to have witnessed this growth first hand and want to thank you for sharing your child(ren) with us.

We would like to thank our Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool families who donated food and other items to our CEAP campaign.  We are excited to say we collected 785 lbs of donations! Way to go Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool families!  YOU ARE THE BEST!

With the State of MN opening up more and more and COVID-19 vaccines becoming more and more accessible, we are having an in-person Graduation Program on Thursday, May 27 for the 2 day students and on Friday, May 28 for the 3 day students both from 11:00-11:30.  Afternoon students who attend in the afternoon only, are to come to school at 8:30 to join our two morning classes to perform the program together as a school. Students will sing their short music program and then we will follow up with a pomp and circumstance graduation program.

COVID PRECAUTIONS:

  • Mask are required of anyone age 6 and up
  • Every other pew will be taped off
  • Limit of four (4) guests per student
  • Only two (2) individual families per pew, one family on each end
  • First arrivals sit in the front most available pews as we fill our way towards the back
  • Keep a safe social distance from those not in your family when entering and leaving
  • Students will be dismissed to their families sitting in their pews after the program by the teachers
  • Leaving after the program, families will be dismissed from the back first, front last
  • Goodbyes with staff will be in the atrium
  • Take your student’s report card and portfolio on the table as you leave the building

The program will most likely be an emotional time for everyone and heighten due to a pandemic we will never forget.  As teachers, we will miss our cherished cherubs as some of them will be moving on to Kindergarten. Some of these students moving on, might be the youngest in the family and we will not be seeing our treasured families who we have built relationships with over the many years anymore, leaving us with a sense of loss.  Even though this may be emotional for us, we feel blessed that we can do this TOGETHER in-person!  The staff at Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool wants to let you know we appreciate all you have done as families for BBCP this year.  You have kept our students and teachers safe and allowed us to continue our in-person early childhood education program without any school closures.  We are forever grateful to all of you!

If your child is currently enrolled in our program, you will not have to fill out new enrollment forms for the next 2021-22 school year, but you will need to update any information such as immunizations, etcetera at our Open House in September before school starts.  If a new sibling is enrolled for next year, you will need to fill out forms for this child.  These forms can be downloaded and printed off from our website at www.bbc-preschool.com and then turned into the teachers before the end of May, instead of waiting until Open House or the first day of school if you would like.  A confirmation and reminder letter will go out towards the end of July to remind families if any required paperwork is not in your student’s file at that point.

Progress Reports and children’s portfolios will be sent home on graduation day.

We have attached a Parent Evaluation Form.  Please complete this form and return it to your teachers at your earliest convenience.  This information is extremely helpful for us to continue to develop a better program.

Some of you have asked about our summer Space Camp at Bright Beginnings, unfortunately we are unable to have the camp this year, but hope to bring it back next year so we can launch our rockets on a “Mission to Kindergarten”.

Have a safe & blessed summer!

Your teachers; Carrie Magner, Carol Green, Laura Petrie & Sue Johnson
