School resumes on January 3^rd for the MWF students and on January 4^th for the T-TH students.

Starting on January 3^rd, Joyful Noise Christian Preschool in Maple Grove will offer “Priority Registration” for existing families currently enrolled in the program and alumni families. A Priority Registration form for the 2011-2012 school year is attached to this newsletter.  If you are interested in enrolling your current student(s) for the next school year or their sibling(s), please return the form to us on or before January 14^th.

There will be no school on January 17^th due to Martin Luther King Day.

On January 18^th, we will have open registration to the public from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Maple Grove site only.  As in years past, we will line chairs up in the hallway outside the classroom and register each interested party on a first come first serve basis.  All forms for new students will be given to parents for the upcoming school year that evening or can be downloaded off our web site prior to registration at www.joyfulnoisepreschool.com.  If your first choice class is full, we can put you on a waiting list and register you for your second choice class.  Please feel free to share this information with anyone you know who is looking for a preschool program for next year.

January 19^th & 20^th, students will be taking a field trip to the Minnesota Children’s Museum in St. Paul. The Museum is packed a plethora of educational activities and endless amounts of fun. The children will have many opportunities to investigate, play and learn. In the middle of our visit, we will have a late morning snack. The bus will be returning late to the school at 1:15.  The afternoon class will be attending with the morning classes. Field trip permission forms will be sent out at the beginning of January or can be found on our web site.

There will be no school on January 28^th.  Osseo School District has a workshop day.

The Teaching Staff at Maple Grove Joyful Noise Christian Preschool

December is a busy time of the year for all families and for our Preschool too.  This month is short, but it is packed with lots of activities.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, our Pizza Fundraiser was a success.  A total of 482 pizzas were sold!  Jameson, from Mrs. Schanzen’s class, was our top individual pizza seller with 61 pizzas sold.  In second place was Vann, from Mrs. Smieja’s class, with 50 pizzas.  Both students will receive free pizzas and a tote bag from Pizza Corner for their hard work.  Mrs. Schanzen’s MWF am class sold the most pizzas as a class, therefore they will be having a pizza party in their classroom.  Mrs. Smieja’s MWF am class sold the second most pizzas as a class, therefore they will also be having a pizza party in their classroom.  The money raised from this fundraiser will go towards classroom equipment and guest speakers throughout the school year.

No school on December 3^rd.  Osseo School District is off for report card recording.

On December 16^th & 17^th the preschoolers will be performing their Christmas Program which starts at 11:00 for the morning classes and 2:15 for the afternoon classes.  All family members and friends are invited to watch this performance.  Refreshments will be served afterwards in the gym.  Students are to come to school at their regularly scheduled time on this day.

In the past, we have had a small gift exchange (not to exceed $5.) at the Happy Birthday Jesus Party.  This party will be held on December 21^st and 22^nd this year.  If you wish to participate in this exchange, please purchase a gift for another child of your child’s same gender.  Label the gift girl or boy and whom it is from.

We are beginning to receive inquires about registration for the 2011-2012 preschool year.  All current families will have priority registration.  On January 18^th we open registration to the public.  More information will follow in the January Joyful Newsletter.

There will be no school on December 23^rd through January 2^nd during the Holiday Season.  School resumes on January 3^rd and 4^th.
