December 2011 Joyful News

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

December is a busy time of the year for all families and for our Preschool too.  This month is short, but it is packed with lots of activities.

The Usborne Card Fundraiser was a success!  As a school we sold 179 boxes of cards.  Congratulations to the 21 students who received the 1001 Things to Spot on Vacation book for selling 5 boxes or more.  We want to thank everyone who participated in the fundraiser.  It helps our school become a successful extension of your child’s education.

No school on December 2nd.  Osseo School District is off for report card recording.

On December 15th & 16th the preschoolers will be performing their Christmas Program which starts at 11:00 for the morning classes and 2:15 for the afternoon class.  All family members and friends are invited to watch this performance.  Refreshments will be served afterwards in the gym.  Students are to come to school at their regularly scheduled time on this day.

In the past, we have had a small gift exchange (not to exceed $5.) at the Happy Birthday Jesus Party.  This party will be held on December 21st and 22nd this year.  If you wish to participate in this exchange, please purchase a gift for another child of your child’s same gender.  Label the gift girl or boy and whom it is from.

We are beginning to receive inquires about registration for the 2012-2013 preschool year.  All current families will have priority registration.  On January 17th we open registration to the public.  More information will follow in the January Joyful Newsletter.

There will be no school on December 23rd through January 2nd during the Holiday Season.  School resumes on January 3rd and 4th.

Live Jesus in our hearts. Forever!

The cold weather has come upon us.  Please label your child’s winter wear so if it becomes misplaced, we can be sure to get it back to them.

Dates to remember:

School Pictures                                2nd &  3rd

MN Twins Stadium Field Trip           10th & 11th  (afternoon class attending on the 10th in the morning)

Second Trimester Tuition due             15th

T-TH Conference, No school               22nd

MWF Conference, No school               23rd

Thanksgiving Holiday, No school          24th & 25th

Individual and class pictures will be taken on November 2nd and 3rd during your child’s regular class time.

MN Twins Stadium Field Trip will be on the 10th and 11th with the afternoon class attending with the morning class on the 10th.  We are hoping to create a magical moment for our students as they experience a group tour at Target Field!  The tour will give us an opportunity to see the home of the Minnesota Twins, as well as the behind-the-scenes areas not normally visited by fans during a major league baseball game. The tour is customized for our students to provide them with the best possible experience at the ballpark. Field trip permission forms will be sent home.  If you cannot find yours, you may download it off our web site at www.joyfulnoisepreschool.com under the Forms & Links column stating Field Trip Permissions.

It is hard to believe that one third of the school year has almost passed.  Tuition for the second trimester is due on or before November 15th.

A conference sign-up sheet will be available soon.  Look for this sheet when you drop off your child at the beginning of class.  Conferences for Mrs. Rose’s & Mrs. Schantzen’s T-TH am classes will be on Tuesday, November 22nd in the morning.   Mrs. Schantzen’s afternoon class conferences will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd in the afternoon.  Mrs. Smieja’s and Mrs. Schantzen’s MWF am classes will be on Wednesday, November 23rd in the morning.  A conference will last 10 minutes for each student. Students may also attend.

The school will be closed on November 24th & 25th in recognition of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

With the oncoming flu and cold season, we would like your help in reducing the spread of viruses by having your child wash their hands before and after school.  Also if you are aware your child is not feeling well, please keep them home.  These precautions will help us all stay healthy.
May we all give thanks to Him,
