March 2022 Bright Beginnings Bulletin

Monday, February 28th, 2022

The student’s and the staff at Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool would like to thank all the party parents who have helped with the Pumpkin Parties, Happy Birthday Jesus Parties and our Valentine Parties to make them memorable.  The crafts, games and scrumptious treats really made our parties the best!

Once again, Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool will be collecting non-perishable foods and personal hygiene items (preferably no glass) starting March 1st, to donate to the CEAP program to help out needy families who are less fortunate than us.  Before these items are taken to CEAP on Thursday, March 24th, the students will use these items to set up a grocery store in the dramatic play area.  This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to participate in a community project.

During the last week of February 28 – March 4, our theme will be Bedtime Stories.  Students are to wear their PJ’s to school and bring their favorite stuffed animal to preschool on March 3 & 4.

The week of March 6th our theme is WACKY!  On Monday & Tuesday the 7th & 8th, students are to DRESS WACKY!  Let their imaginations run wild, anything goes!  On Wednesday & Thursday the 9th & 10th, students are to style their HAIR WACKY!   This is such a fun week to see how creative everyone gets!

Friday, March 11th, no school.  Prep for conferences.

On March 16th & 17th students are encouraged to wear green. We will be setting traps in hopes to catch a Leprechaun!

Conference times will be assigned to families for March 24th and 25th during your child’s regular class time.  If the time you were assigned does not work for you, please contact your child’s teacher.  Adults are asked to wear masks.  Children are encouraged too, if they can.  Conferences for both Mrs. Green’s & Mrs. Hoitink’s T-TH am classes will be on Thursday morning, March 24th..  Conferences for Mrs. Green’s 3 day Pre-K PLUS  & Little Explorers class and Mrs. Hoitink’s conferences for her 3 day am will be on Friday morning, March 25th. Conferences will last 10 minutes for each class, except for students in the Pre-Kindergarten PLUS Class, their’s will be 15 minutes each.  Students may attend conferences. Reminder: If your student is in the morning and afternoon with Mrs. Green, you will have a longer conference. If your student has Mrs. Hoitink in the morning, they will have a conference with Mrs. Green immediately following Mrs.Hoitink’s conference.

We are also in need of gently used picture frames 8 x 10 or larger preferably, but will accept other sizes for our Art Show in May.  If you happen to have any frames you would like to donate, we would appreciate it.

Spring break will be March 28th through April 1st.  There will not be school during this time.  We hope all of you have a fantastic time spending it with your child(ren)!

Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool 2021/22 COVID Protocol

The Health Department of the State of MN has updated their recommendations too COVID. Below is BBCP’s updated Protocol to reflect the State’s of MN guidelines.

Please read carefully to understand each situation to make the decision of what applies to your student in the various situations. If you have any questions, please let us know.

● If your preschool student tests positive, they will need to stay home for 5 days from the day the student tested positive and are fever free without fever-reducing medication for 24 hrs and symptoms are improving. After isolation, the student will have to wear a mask for the remaining 5 of the 10 days from testing positive.

● If a preschool student tests positive, but has NO symptoms, the student will have to stay home for 5 days from the day they tested positive. They should also wear a mask for the remaining 5 of the 10 days after testing positive.

● If your vaccinated preschool student has had a close contact with a student/person who has tested positive in or out of the classroom, they will not have to isolate unless they are showing symptoms, but should wear a mask for 10 days from exposure.

● If your preschool student has had close contact with a student/person who has tested positive in or out of the classroom, and your student was wearing a mask, your student will not need to isolate and stay home, but should continue to wear a mask.

● If your student has had close contact with a student/person who has tested positive in or out of the classroom, and your student was not wearing a mask, your student will need to isolate and stay home for 5 days and can return if showing no symptoms. A PCR test is highly recommended before returning and student needs to wear a mask for the remaining 5 of the 10 days from exposure.

● If your student has had close contact with a student/person who has tested positive in or out of the classroom, and your student has previously contracted COVID, your student does not have to isolate if they were or were not wearing a mask. Your student has natural immunities for 90 days from the time they tested positive.

At BBCP masks are not mandated, but highly recommended. If you can get your child to wear a mask, the teachers will do their best to have them wear them during class. This way your student will avoid missing classes if exposed.

Bright Beginnings is trying our best to keep our staff, students, and their families as healthy as we can. We pray that one day this will all be behind us and be just a blur in our memories. Thank you for all you do to help keep our families healthy and safe.
