Once again, Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool will be collecting nonperishable food and personal hygiene items (preferably no glass) to donate to the CEAP program to help out needy families who are less fortunate than ours. Before these items are taken to CEAP, the students will use these items to set up a grocery store in the dramatic play area. Our goal is to beat our past record total of 186 lbs. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to participate in a community project.
We will not have school on March 6th, due to Prep for Conferences.
A conference sign-up sheet will be available soon. Look for this sheet when you drop off your child at the beginning of class. Mrs. Hanson’s & Mrs. Schantzen’s T-TH am classes will be on Thursday, March 19th in the morning. Conferences for Mrs. Schantzen’s MWF am and pm classes will be on Friday, March 20th. These conferences will last 10 minutes for each students. Conferences for Mrs. Hanson’s Extended Pre-kindergarten MWF am class will be on Friday, March 20th in the morning also. Conferences for the Extended Pre-Kindergarten class will be 15 minutes each.
March 19th & 20th are Family/Teacher conferences. There will be no class on these dates, but students are welcome to attend the conference.
Spring break will be March 30th through April 3rd. There will not be school during this time. We hope all of you have a fantastic time spending it with your children!
We would also like to thank those who participated in the Usborne Book Fair. A total of $1,519.00 worth of books was sold, benefiting Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool. A special thanks goes out to the Barber, Neary, Grand, Kulseth, and Warner families for purchasing books from the teacher’s wish list. The Warner family won the drawing for the free book. For future book orders, representative Alissa Muscatello of Usborne Books has set up a continuous on-line e-book fair starting now through next year’s book fair in 2016. Anyone wanting to buy during the year may do so. In addition, Bright Beginnings will receive credit to put towards purchasing additional books for the school library when these orders are placed. We would like to thank dental hygienist, Stacey Kulseth, for her generosity. Our students all went home with a new toothbrush during dental week.
Another reminder, on April 21st & 22nd we will be having our Memories with Mom. If possible, moms or any other female figure in your child’s life should attend school this day and join us. Once again, we are fortunate enough to have Lynde Greenhouse and Nursery of Maple Grove come out to help us get started on our 2015 spring planting and make our day more memorable.
