January 2022 Bright Beginnings Bulletin

Friday, December 31st, 2021

School resumes on January 3rd for the MWF students and January 4th for the T-TH students.

Starting on January 3rd, Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool will offer “Priority Registration” for existing families currently enrolled in the program and alumni families who have enrolled in our program over the last 20 years. A Priority Registration form for the 2022-2023 school year is attached to this newsletter or can be requested by phone at 763-639-9876 for alumni.  Last year some of our existing and alumni families waited to sign up after we opened up registration to the public and were not able to obtain a spot for the class they wanted.  Therefore, please return your form & registration fee to us on or before January 14th if you are interested in enrolling your current student(s) for the next school year or their sibling(s). Registration is on a first come first serve basis for current and alumni families!

This year, each BBCP family will be receiving a $150 Gift Voucher to give to a relative, friend or neighbor to attend preschool during the 2022/23 school year.  If the family you give the Gift Voucher to enrolls, you will also receive a Gift Voucher for the same amount to use for your immediate family.  $50 will be applied to each trimester’s tuition of the full $150 Gift Voucher.

There will be no school on Monday, January 17h due to Martin Luther King Day.

On Tuesday, January 18th, we will have open registration to the public from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool’s Director will take registrations for each interested party in the atrium area near the front entrance of the school.  Due to COVID-19, phone registrations will also be available by calling 763-639-9876.  All registration forms for new students will be given to parents for the upcoming school year or can be downloaded off our web site prior to registration at www.bbc-preschool.com.  If your first choice class is full, we can place you on a waiting list and register you for your second choice class.  Please feel free to share this information with anyone you know who is looking for a preschool program for next year.

May God shine His light upon you in the New Year!

Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool 2021/22 COVID Protocol

Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool follows the MN State Health’s Decision Tree, which can be confusing.

With Covid numbers on the rise and younger people contracting the disease and the many questions we have been receiving at Preschool, we thought we would try to make things more clear. Please read carefully to understand each situation. If you have any questions, please let us know.

● If a preschool student tests positive, they will need to stay home for 10 days from when symptoms end with no fever reducing medication. If they test positive, but have no symptoms, the student will have to stay home for 5 days from testing day.

● If your student has had close contact with a student who has tested positive in the classroom, and your student was wearing a mask, your student will not need to isolate and stay home.

● If your student has had close contact with a student who has tested positive in the classroom, and you student was not wearing a mask, your student will need to isolate and stay home for 10 days if you choose to not get your student tested .

● If your student has had close contact with a student who has tested positive in the classroom, and your student was not wearing a mask, your student can return on the 8th day from exposure if your student has been tested with a PCR test and they are negative and showing no symptoms.

● If your student has had close contact with a student who has tested positive in the classroom, and your student has previously contracted COVID, your student does not have to isolate if they were or were not wearing a mask. Your student has natural immunities for 90 days from the time they tested positive.

● If your student has had close contact with anyone outside of the school, the above needs to be followed in all situations.

At BBCP masks are not mandated, but highly recommended. If you can get your child to wear a mask, the teachers will do their best to have them wear them during class. This way your student will avoid missing classes if exposed.

Bright Beginnings is trying our best to keep our staff, students, and their families as healthy as we can. We pray that one day this will all be behind us and be just a blur in our memories. Thank you for all you do to help keep our families healthy and safe.

Revised 12/31/21

December 2021 Bright Beginnings Bulletin

Wednesday, December 1st, 2021

December is a busy time of the year for all families and for our Preschool too.  This month is short, but it is packed with lots of fun activities.

The delivery of the 2021 Gerten’s Fundraiser will be on Tuesday, November 30th.  Please make plans to pick up your orders that afternoon.  We want your orders to be delivered to your buyers as fresh as possible.  A “Remind” will be sent out with more details and the exact times on November 29th.

On Monday, December 6th there will be NO SCHOOL

On December 16th & 17th the preschoolers will be performing their Christmas Program at preschool.  On this day you can send your child(ren) in their special Christmas outfits.  Unfortunately, the COVID numbers are too high for us to be able to invite families and friends to attend the program in person.  Therefore, we will record their program and email you a hyperlink to view their performance.  One positive note from this situation is, (pun intended) your students will be able to watch themselves perform the Christmas program over and over.

In the past, we have had a small gift exchange (not to exceed $5.) at each of our Happy Birthday Jesus Parties.  These parties will be held on December 16th and 17th on the same day as our Christmas Program.  If you wish to participate in this exchange, please purchase a gift for another child of your child’s same gender.  Label the gift girl or boy and whom it is from.  If your child attends Little Explorers in the afternoon, those students will be doing a Book Gift Exchange during their afternoon party.  The Happy Birthday Jesus Party will be orchestrated by the teachers again. Parents who signed up to be a Party Parent Volunteer should have already received a notification via email to help prepare for the party.

CALENDAR CHANGE: Osseo School District has made a change to their calendar, which Bright Beginnings tries to follow for the most part.  Christmas break will now include Dec. 20, 21 & 22, extending the break to a full two weeks.  As a result of the calendar change, Bright Beginnings will now have school on Monday, Jan 31 and Monday, May 2, which were originally scheduled days off.

We are beginning to receive a few inquiries about registration for the 2022-2021 preschool year.  All current families and alumni families will have priority registration from January 3rd through the 14th.  This priority registration is on a first come first serve basis. On January 18th  we open registration to the public starting at 8:30am.  More information will follow in the January Bright Beginnings Bulletin.

There will be no school on December 23rd through December 31st during the Holiday Season.  School resumes on January 3rd and 4th.

Live, Jesus, in our hearts. Forever!
