The cold weather has come upon us.  Please label your child’s winter wear, so if it becomes misplaced we can be sure to get it back to them.

Heidi Schantzen was nominated by one of her parents and selected as Teacher of the Week during the week of October  2nd by radio station KS95. As they say, “Great teachers make great kids!”  We want to acknowledge Heidi for this award and her dedication to Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool!

There will be no school due to Osseo School District closing schools do on November 6th for Election Day!

It is hard to believe that one third of the school year has almost passed.  Tuition for the second trimester is due on or before November 15th.  Tuition amounts are: 2 day $531. – 3 day 2.5hr $714. – 3 day Pre-K PLUS 3 hr $858. & Little Explorers afternoon class $858.

Individual and class pictures will be taken on November 13th and 14th during your child’s regular class time.

A conference sign-up sheet will be available in November.  Look for this sheet when you drop off your child at the beginning of class. A text message to remind you to sign up will also be sent out on “Remind”.  Conferences for Mrs. Magner and Mrs. Paar’s 3 day Pre-K PLUS class will be on Monday, Nov. 19th from 8:15am – 12:15pm.  Mrs. Schantzen’s conferences for her 3 day am and Little Explorers classes will be on Monday, Nov. 19th from 8:15am – 3:05pm.  Conferences for both Mrs. Paar’s & Mrs. Schantzen’s T-TH am classes will be on Tuesday, November 20th in the morning from 8:15am – 11:35pm. Conferences last 10 minutes for most students, except for students in the Pre-Kindergarten PLUS Class, theirs will be 15 minutes each.  Students may attend conferences. Reminder: If your student is in the morning and afternoon class, please sign up for a conference in both classes.

School will be closed on Wednesday, November 21st through the 23rd in recognition of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

“Memories with Mom” will be held on November 28th & 29th .   We invite moms or any other female figure in your child’s life to attend a day of school with your student for our annual “Memories with Mom.”  If you are not able to attend this event, please notify your child’s teacher so we can buddy them up with another adult. This year’s theme is Art!  Moms and students will learn how to paint a step-by-step picture with acrylic paints on a stretched canvas. This will be a treasured keepsake for sure! Students in the “Little Explorers” S.T.E.M. program, who attend in the afternoon only, are to arrive at 10:20am to participate in the class with their mom or other female adult.  Little Explorer’s parents, please plan to stay for lunch. If you have any questions, please direct them to your child’s teachers.

We have no school on November 30th.  Osseo School District is off.

With the oncoming flu and cold season, we would like your help in reducing the spread of viruses by having your child wash their hands before and after school.  Also if you are aware your child is not feeling well, please keep them home.  These precautions will help us all stay healthy.

October 2018 Bright Beginnings Bulletin

Monday, October 1st, 2018

The children are doing a great job getting to know the routine at school.  Please be extra careful in the parking lot as the students are coming and going from class.  We want to keep this part of our day as safe as possible for everyone. The month of October is extremely busy with many events.

October 8th & 9th, we take our first field trip. We will be taking an apple orchard tour at Apple Jack Orchards.  We will be tasting a variety of apples, some apple cider and eating apple donuts, while listening to an educational talk with visual aids about apple growing. There will be an interactive apple picking demonstration and pollination puppet play for the students. We will also take a wagon ride through the pick-your-own orchard.  This ride will be narrated by the tractor driver for even more information! Everyone will take home one apple and lots of memories from their orchard experience. The Little Explorers S.T.E.M. class will begin as soon as we return from our field trip.

On 10/18 & 19 the school will be closed for the MN Professional Conference

On 10/30 & 10/31 we will be having our Pumpkin Parties.  When choosing your child’s costume for the Pumpkin Party at school, please keep in mind that they must be non-violent. Some suggestions that work out nice are: Animals, Insects, Prince/Princess, Cowboy/girl, Storybook Characters, etc. In the past, the children have brought some type of peanut free treat to pass out to their classmates at the end of the party. They usually go home with plenty of goodies to share with their family!

Other reminders for this month:  Please turn in your Health Care Summary signed by your healthcare provider before October 10th  if you haven’t already.

As a reminder, we will be taking our school pictures on 11/13 & 11/14.

In God’s love,
