December 2016 Bright Beginnings Bulletin

Saturday, November 26th, 2016

December is a busy time of the year for all families and for our Preschool too.  This month is short, but it is packed with lots of activities.

“Memories with Mom” will be held on Thursday, December 1st.   We invite moms or any other female figure in your child’s life to attend a day of school with your student for our annual “Memories with Mom.”  If you are not able to attend this event, please notify your child’s teacher so we can buddy them up with another adult.  We have the awesome opportunity to be entertained by the Day Trippers Theatre.  They will be performing for our pleasure, Furry Tails With a Twist.  This event is paid for through funds raised during our Cards for a Cause campaign, coming up this February.  Please help your school by participating during this fundraiser and help us continue these great events!

On December 2nd, there will be no school due to Osseo District being closed.

On December 15th & 16th the preschoolers will be performing their Christmas Program in the sanctuary, which starts at 11:00.  All family members and friends are invited to watch this magical performance.  Refreshments will be served afterwards in the gym.  Students are to come to school at their regularly scheduled time on this day as well.

In the past, we have had a small gift exchange (not to exceed $5.) at the Happy Birthday Jesus Party.  This party will be held on December 21st and 22nd this year.  If you wish to participate in this exchange, please purchase a gift for another child of your child’s same gender.  Label the gift girl or boy and whom it is from.

We are beginning to receive inquiries about registration for the 2017-2018 preschool year.  All current families will have priority registration.  On January 17th we open registration to the public from 8:30-5:30.  More information will follow in the January Bright Beginnings Bulletin.

There will be no school on December 23rd through January 2nd during the Holiday Season.  School resumes on January 3rd and 4th.

We would like to thank those who participated in the Usborne Book Fair.  A total of $1,400.00 worth of books was sold, benefiting Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool.  A special thanks goes out to the Brierton, Butak, Ertl/Ping, Dykhoff, Iacono, Stiff, VanBeusekom and Willihnganz families for purchasing books from the teacher’s wish list. The Heupel family won the drawing for the free book.  If you were not able to purchase any of these award winning books and would still like to, please contact one of your teachers to get information needed to get in contact with representative Alissa Muscatello of Usborne Books.  Bright Beginnings will receive credit towards purchasing these additional books for the school library.

Live, Jesus, in our hearts. Forever!

With the oncoming flu and cold season, we would like your help in reducing the spread of viruses by having your child wash their hands before and after school. Also if you are aware your child is not feeling well, please keep them home. These precautions will help us all stay healthy.
