Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool

The children are doing a great job getting to know the routine at school. Please be extra careful in the parking lot as the students are coming and going from class. We want to keep this part of our day as safe as possible for everyone. The month of October is extremely busy with many events.

Our Usborne Cards for a Cause fundraiser kickoff will begin on 10/1 and end on 10/20. Each box contains 30 splendid handmade cards for various occasions. Our goal is to surpass last year’s total of 97 boxes! Each student who sells 5 boxes or more will receive a beautiful Usborne book called “The Story of Baby Jesus”. Your name can also be put in a drawing to win a free book if you sell 2 boxes in 2 days and another drawing for those selling 4 boxes in the first week. These cards make great Christmas gifts and gifts for other special occasions. This fundraiser is a wonderful way for our school to raise money for in-house visitors, entertainers and special equipment for the classes. We would also like to reach a goal of 100% participation by all students in the school. With everyone’s support, we will make this fundraiser a huge success!

On 10/15 & 16 the school will be closed for the MN Professional Conference

There will be no school on 10/26 due to an Osseo Dist. Staff Workshop

On 10/29 & 10/30 we will be having our Pumpkin Parties. When choosing your child’s costume for the Pumpkin Party at school, please keep in mind that they must be non-violent. Some suggestions that work out nice are: Animals, Insects, Prince/Princess, Cowboy/girl, Disney Characters, etc.   In the past, the children have brought some type of treat to pass out to their classmates at the end of the party. They usually go home with plenty of goodies to share with their family!

Other reminders for this month: Please turn in your Health Care Summary signed by your health care provider before October 14th if you haven’t already.

Also, please return to your teachers your Shutterfly Consent form given to all classes and the “Me” sheets given to the 2 day classes.

As a reminder, we will be taking our school pictures on 11/18 & 11/19.

Welcome everyone! It is September and time for school. We hope all of you had a wonderful and relaxing summer. We know the first few days of school can sometimes be a time of high anxiety for both the children and their parents. We encourage you to read, “Surviving Separation, Tips for Parents”, available by request from your teachers if you are interested.

Your child will be bringing home a lime green Bright Beginnings Preschool bag at some point. At this time, your child will bring a snack and beverage to share with their classmates and teachers during their next class. The snack must be nutritious and store bought. The beverages need to also be store bought and must be either a bottle of 100% juice (62 oz.) or half gallon of milk.  Please be aware if your child has a friend in their class with a food allergy. If you’re not sure, please ask one of their teachers.

If you were not able to attend the Open House on September 10th, please see your child’s teacher for pertinent paper work. If there is room to sign up to be a party parent, chaperone one of your child’s field trips, and other opportunities, please do so as soon as possible. Please make sure all of your forms are turned in. If you have a returning student, please make sure their records are all updated. This procedure is required by the State. These forms include the Registration, Emergency Card, Permission, Immunization and Healthcare Summary.
