Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool

The children are doing a great job getting to know the routine at school. Please be extra careful in the parking lot as the students are coming and going from class. We want to keep this part of our day as safe as possible for everyone. The month of October is extremely busy with many events.

There will be no school on 10/10 due to an Osseo Dist. Staff Workshop

October 18^th & 19^th, we take our first field trip to Apple Jack Orchards in Delano. Students will visit three stations including apple tasting, apple cider tasting, and eating apple donuts while listening to an educational talk with visual aids about apple growing. We will also get to take a wagon ride through the orchard and pick our own apples! Students in the afternoon class only, will attend this field trip with the morning classes. The Little Explorers S.T.E.M. class will begin as soon as we return from our field trip.

On 10/20 & 21 the school will be closed for the MN Professional Conference

On 10/27 & 10/31 we will be having our Pumpkin Parties. When choosing your child’s costume for the Pumpkin Party at school, please keep in mind that they must be non-violent. Some suggestions that work out nice are: Animals, Insects, Prince/Princess, Cowboy/girl, Story Book Characters, etc.   In the past, the children have brought some type of peanut free treat to pass out to their classmates at the end of the party. They usually go home with plenty of goodies to share with their family!

Other reminders for this month: Please turn in your Health Care Summary signed by your health care provider before October 12^th if you haven’t already.

Also, please return to your teachers your Shutterfly Consent form given to all classes. We need all forms returned to the school before we can distribute Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool’s Shutterfly pass code to any of our families.

As a reminder, we will be taking our school pictures on 11/16 & 11/17.

Welcome everyone! It is September and time for school. We hope all of you had a wonderful and relaxing summer. We know the first few days of school can sometimes be a time of high anxiety for both the children and their parents. We encourage you to read, “Surviving Separation, Tips for Parents”, available by request from your teachers if you are interested.

The first day of school is Monday, September 12^th for the MWF students and Tuesday, September 13^th for the T-Th students.

Your child will be bringing home a lime green Bright Beginnings Preschool bag at some point. At this time, your child will bring a snack and beverage to share with their classmates and teachers during their next class. The snack must be nutritious and store bought. The beverages need to also be store bought and must be either a bottle of 100% juice (62 oz.) or half gallon of milk.  Please be aware if your child has a friend in their class with a food allergy. If you’re not sure, please ask one of their teachers.

If you were not able to attend the Open House on September 8th, please see your child’s teacher for pertinent paper work. If there is room to sign up to be a party parent, chaperone one of your child’s field trips, and other opportunities, please do so as soon as possible. Please make sure all of your forms are turned in. If you have a returning student, please make sure their records are all updated. This procedure is required by the State. These forms include the Registration, Emergency Card, Permission, Immunization and Healthcare Summary. Sign up for “Remind”! Remind is a mandatory requirement of families to receive classroom messages.
