Our Usborne Cards for a Cause fundraiser kickoff will begin on 2/1 and end on 2/22. Each box contains 30 splendid handmade cards for various occasions. Our goal is to surpass last year’s total of 97 boxes!  Each student who sells 5 boxes or more will receive a beautiful Usborne book.  Your name can also be put in a drawing to win a free book if you sell 2 boxes in 2 days and another drawing for those selling 4 boxes within the first week.  These cards make great gifts and are always handy to have around the house for those special occasions.  This fundraiser is the only way our school raises money for in-house visitors, entertainers for Memories with Mom & Fun with Fathers and special equipment for the classes. We would also like to reach a goal of 100% participation by all students in the school.  With everyone’s support, we will make this fundraiser a huge success!

We will be celebrating our Valentine’s Day parties on the 13th & 14th.  Please have your children sign their name on each of their valentines (this is good practice for writing their names – hint: do a few each day.)  They do not need to address them to each classmate.  

We at Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool would like to thank all our Party Parent Volunteers who have dedicated their time for the 2016-2017 school year.  Our Pumpkin and Happy Birthday Jesus parties were all a great success, as we are sure the Valentine’s Day Parties will be too.  The children look forward to these events and it is a great way to share your time and be involved with your child and their classmates.  Again, a BIG THANKS to all who help!

The 3rd trimester tuition is due on February 15th.  2 day is $492.00, 3 day is $663.00, pre-kindergarten is $798 and Little Explorers is $798.00.  Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool’s Tax ID number is #03-0455877, for families who need this information for tax purposes.

February 17th & February 20th there will be no school due to Osseo School District being closed.  

Usborne Card Fundraiser ends on February 21st and 22nd.

Once again, Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool will be collecting nonperishable foods and personal hygiene items (preferably no glass) starting February 21st, to donate to the CEAP program to help out needy families who are less fortunate than us.  Before these items are taken to CEAP on Friday, March 22nd, the students will use these items to set up a grocery store in the dramatic play area.  Our goal is to beat last year’s record of 211 lbs.  This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to participate in a community project.  

Fun with Fathers is on February 27th & 28th.  If possible, dads or any other male figure in your child’s life should attend school this day with your student(s).  Please clear your calendar, so you can enjoy this opportunity with your child(ren).  We have the awesome opportunity to introduce to you, Minnesota’s Children’s Music Entertainer, Richard Erickson, from the well known “Teddy Bear Band”!  Students in the “Little Explorers” S.T.E.M program, who attend in the afternoon only, are to arrive at 10:25am to watch the performance with their father or other adult male.  The show starts promptly at 10:30am in the Church Sanctuary.  Class for all “Little Explorers” afternoon session, will start at the regular time.  If you have any questions, please direct them to your child’s teachers.

School resumes on January 3rd for the T-TH am and January 4th for the MWF students.  

Starting on January 3rd, Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool will offer “Priority Registration” for existing families currently enrolled in the program and alumni families. A Priority Registration form for the 2017-2018 school year is attached to this newsletter.  Last year some of our existing and alumni families waited to sign up after we opened up registration to the public and were not able to obtain a spot for the class they wanted.  Therefore, please return your form to us on or before January 13th if you are interested in enrolling your current student(s) for the next school year or their sibling(s), to be guaranteed a spot.  Registration is on a first come first serve basis!

There will be no school on Monday, January 16th due to Martin Luther King Day.  

On Tuesday, January 17th, we will have open registration to the public from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.  A Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool Co-Director will take registrations for each interested party in the atrium area near the entrance of the school.  All registration forms for new students will be given to parents for the upcoming school year or can be downloaded off our web site prior to registration at www.bbc-preschool.com.  If your first choice class is full, we can place you on a waiting list and register you for your second choice class.  Please feel free to share this information with anyone you know who is looking for a preschool program for next year.

January 25th & 26th, we will be taking a field trip to the Dinosaur Exhibit at the Science Museum of Minnesota.  Students will see more than a dozen prehistoric specimens.  Museum volunteers will be there to assist and explain the many hands-on interactive stations we will have the opportunity to experience.  We will not be returning from this field trip until 12:00.  As soon as we return on the bus from this field trip, Little Explorers S.T.E.M. afternoon class will begin.  

On January 30th, there will be No School due to a Osseo District Workshop.

As a reminder, on February 27th & 28th we will be having our Annual Fun with Fathers event.  If possible, dads or any other male figure in your child’s life should attend school this day with your student(s).  Please clear your calendars, so you can enjoy this opportunity with your child(ren).  We have the awesome opportunity to have “Jack Pearson, a musician & storyteller” come to our school for the day and perform for us.  Students in the “Little Explorers” S.T.E.M program, who attend in the afternoon only, are to arrive at 10:25am to watch the performance with their father or other adult male.  The show starts promptly at 10:30am in the Church Sanctuary.  Class for all “Little Explorers” afternoon session, will start at the regular time.  This event is paid for through funds raised during our Cards for a Cause Campaign, coming up in February.  Please help your school by participating during this fundraiser and help us continue these great events!  If you have any questions, please direct them to your child’s teachers.
