Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool

Once again, Joyful Noise Preschool will be collecting nonperishable food and personal hygiene items (preferably no glass) to donate to the CEAP program to help out needy families who are less fortunate than us.  Before these items are taken to CEAP, the students will use these items to set up a grocery store in the dramatic play area.  Our goal is to beat our past record total of 391 lbs.  This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to participate in a community project.

On March 1^st & 2^nd the students will be going on a field trip to The Works in Bloomington.  The Works is a unique engineering opportunity for children, creating a fun memorable learning experience for all.  Please note, the bus will be returning at 11:45.  This is fifteen minutes later than our regular classroom dismissal time.  The afternoon class will attend this field trip with the morning class on Thursday.

Please sign up on March 5^th & 6^th for the March 15^th & 16^th conferences.  These conferences will be a 10-minute verbal conference with no report card sent home. Out of consideration for all families, if you feel you need more than 10-minutes please contact your teachers.

March 9^th we do not have school due to conference preparation for teachers.

March 15^th & 16^th are Family/Teacher conferences. Classes will not be held on these dates.

March 20^th & 21^st, we will be having our Fun with Fathers day.  If possible, dads or any other male figure in your child’s life should attend school this day.  Mad Science will be introducing the concepts of perpetual and kinetic energy with a plethora of hands-on, minds-on experiences at specified times for each individual class.  Each child will also bring home a device to demonstrate energy.  Please clear your calendars, so you can enjoy this opportunity with your student during their class.  Any questions can be directed to your child’s teachers.

Another reminder, in the month of April we will be having our Memories with Mom.  The exact dates have not been set, but when decided upon will be printed in the April Joyful News.

Spring break will be March 26^th through April 1^st.  There will not be school during this time.  We hope all of you have a fantastic time spending it with your children!

We would also like to thank those who participated in the Usborne Book Fair.  A total of $1,638 of books were sold, which tabulates into $819 of books Joyful Noise received for their school library.  Special thanks goes out to the Adebayo, Benjamin, Burke, Hausmann, Kulseth, Luther, O’Dwyer,  Paar, Thai, and Vendel families for purchasing books from the teacher’s wish list.  The Stockfisch family won the book drawing.

We would like to thank Dr. Krista Bauer & Hygienist Stacy Kulseth, for their willingness to talk with our students during dental week.  Their expertise brings additional information on how to keep our teeth healthy and clean.

February we will celebrate Valentine’s Day.  Our parties will be held on the 13^th & 14^th.  Please have your children sign their name on the back of each valentine (this is good practice for writing their names – hint: do a few each day.)  They do not need to address them to each classmate.

3^rd trimester tuition is due on February 15^th.  2 day is $405.00 and 3 day is $546.00.

February 17^th, there will be no school due to Osseo District Workshops.

There will be no school on Presidents Day, February 20^th.

Usborne books “Reading is a Gift” book fair is coming to Joyful Noise Christian Preschool on Tuesday, February 21^st and Wednesday, February 22^nd.  You won’t want to miss your opportunity to view these award winning, high quality children’s literature books!  Look for more information to be sent home soon later this week.

We at Joyful Noise Christian Preschool would like to thank all our Party Parent Volunteers who have dedicated their time for the 2011-2012 school year.  Our Pumpkin and Happy Birthday Jesus parties were all a great success as we are sure the Valentine’s Day Party will be too.  The children look forward to these events and it is a great way to share your time and be involved with your child and their classmates.  Again, a BIG THANKS to all who help!
