On March 3rd & 4th we will be having our annual Memories with Mom. If possible, moms or any other female in your child’s life should attend school this day and join us. Minnesota magician, Brian Richards will be there to entertain us. The Magic of Brian Richards has made school events entertaining, while at the same time helping kids to have fun while learning! If you have any questions about this special day, please direct them to your teachers.
We are in need of gently used picture frames 8 x 10 or larger preferable, but will accept other sizes for our Art Show in May. If you happen to have any frames you would like to donate, we would appreciate it.
We will not have school on Friday, March 11th, due to Prep for Conferences.
Family/Teacher conference sign-up sheet. Look for this sheet when you drop off your child at the beginning of class. Conferences for Mrs. Hanson’s Extended Pre-Kindergarten MWF am class will be on Wednesday, March 16th in the afternoon from 12:30 to 6:00, after morning class. Conferences for the Extended Pre-Kindergarten class will be 15 minutes each. Mrs. Hanson’s & Mrs. Schantzen’s T-TH am classes will be on Thursday, March 17th in the morning. Conferences for Mrs. Schantzen’s MWF am class will be on Friday, March 18th. These conferences will last 10 minutes for each student.
Spring break will be March 21st through March 25th. There will not be school during this time. We hope all of you have a fantastic time spending it with your children!
We would also like to thank those who participated in the Usborne Book Fair. A total of $1,358.00 worth of books was sold, benefiting Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool. A special thanks goes out to the Ertl/Ping, Hanna, Iacono, Krenn, Kulseth, Midgarden, Steel, and Thayer families for purchasing books from the teacher’s wish list. The King family won the drawing for the free book. For future book orders, representative Alissa Muscatello of Usborne Books has set up a continuous on-line e-book fair starting now through next year’s book fair in 2017. Anyone wanting to buy during the year may do so. In addition, Bright Beginnings will receive credit to put towards purchasing additional books for the school library when these orders are placed. We would like to thank dental hygienist, Stacey Kulseth, for speaking and providing new toothbrushes to our 3 day students. We would also like to thank the Sheely family for their generous gift of new toothbrushes for our 2 day students. We have great parents in our school!
Don’t forget to sign up your astronaut for Camp Bright Beginnings as we launch our rocket on a “Mission to Kindergarten” while seats are still available. All prospective astronauts must be attending Kindergarten this fall to board this mission. This camp runs from 8:30am to 11:30am, Monday through Friday, June 6th – 10th. Or make it an all day camp by extending your astronaut’s space travel to 2:30! Fees for qualifying astronauts are $145.00 for the morning and an additional $145.00 to extend their travel to 2:30pm. Please contact a teacher or the school for information or for a registration form. This mission is open to the public as well as Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool students.
